Yevhenii Khmara

Yevhenii Khmara is a Ukrainian politician serving as Minister of Defence of Ukraine. In that role he has directed the country’s air defence posture during the ongoing conflict with Russia, including overseeing the coordination of layered defences protecting the capital. He has conducted direct inspections of Air Force units operating in Kyiv Oblast.

As the official responsible for Ukraine’s defence establishment, Khmara shapes the procurement, doctrine, and deployment of air defence systems at a moment when drone and missile interception has become one of the most technology-intensive fronts in modern warfare.
