Profile

Mykhailo Nestor became chief product officer of the drone-swarm company Swarmer in April 2026. He arrived from one of Ukraine’s largest companies, where he spent roughly seven years as chief product officer and a board member of Kyivstar Group, the country’s biggest telecoms operator. Earlier he was a product leader at the enterprise software firm Creatio, founded the productivity startup LifeTracker.io, and ran digital-marketing and technology projects at Havas Digital.

Why they matter

Nestor’s hire is a sign of how the post-IPO Ukrainian defence-tech wave is pulling in senior commercial-product talent from the wider technology economy. He joins Swarmer to build out a product organisation around software that, in his own words, is “mature, proven in live operational conditions.”

Mykhailo Nestor became chief product officer of Swarmer in April 2026, joining the drone-swarm company from the upper ranks of Ukraine’s technology economy rather than from defence. He spent roughly seven years as chief product officer and a board member of Kyivstar Group, the country’s largest telecoms operator, and before that was a product leader at the enterprise-software firm Creatio, founded the productivity startup LifeTracker.io, and ran digital and technology projects at Havas Digital.

His appointment is a small but telling marker of where Ukrainian defence-tech is heading after Swarmer’s Nasdaq listing: a company built by autonomy engineers is now recruiting senior commercial-product leadership to turn battlefield-proven software into a scalable product business. Nestor has framed the task around a claim worth weighing critically — that Swarmer’s software is already “mature, proven in live operational conditions.”
