Micael Johansson

Micael Johansson has served as president and CEO of the Swedish defence and security company Saab AB since October 2019, taking over from Håkan Buskhe. He leads one of Europe’s most prominent defence technology companies, with operations spanning airborne systems, naval platforms, and ground equipment.

Under Johansson’s leadership, Saab is advancing the MQ-9B airborne early warning system through active flight testing and moving toward contract discussions with prospective customers — a programme that extends unmanned surveillance capabilities into a new mission domain.
