Ben Hodges

Frederick Benjamin Hodges III served as Commanding General of United States Army Europe before retiring from a career spanning decades in the U.S. Army. He subsequently held the Pershing Chair in Strategic Studies at the Center for European Policy Analysis and has served as NATO Senior Mentor for Logistics. Since mid-2022 he has been a Senior Advisor at Human Rights First.

Hodges is a prominent commentator on the evolving character of the war in Ukraine, including the role of drone warfare, long-range strike, and technological asymmetry in shaping battlefield outcomes.
