Trident OS

Trident OS is the embedded operating system at the bottom of Swarmer’s stack — the layer that lets the company’s software run on almost any drone rather than on hardware it builds itself. According to the SEC filing it provides mesh networking between aircraft, military-grade encryption, video streaming, and a hardware-abstraction layer that acts as a standardised interface so any drone platform can be integrated into a Swarmer swarm.

This is the foundation of the company’s “hardware-agnostic” approach: rather than manufacturing airframes, Swarmer licenses software that turns existing fixed-wing, FPV, ground, and sea platforms into nodes of a coordinated swarm. Trident is designed to keep operating offline in heavy electronic-warfare and GPS-denied conditions, and the company updates it through a continuous-delivery pipeline, pushing changes over the air. It is also the product the company’s headline mission count is tied to — the “100,000+ missions” figure specifically counts flights by drones equipped with Trident OS at varying degrees of autonomy.
