Texas Instruments TMS320F28335

Also recorded as TMS320F28335, F28335 and TMS320F28335PGFA

A 32-bit real-time microcontroller from Texas Instruments' C2000 line, built for motor and power control. It is the most common foreign chip in recovered Geran flight controllers: HUR has recorded it in all four Geran versions.

The TMS320F28335 is a 150 MHz real-time microcontroller from Texas Instruments’ C2000 line, designed for motor control and power conversion, with a floating-point unit and CAN, serial and SPI interfaces (TI). The PGF suffix in the marking is its 176-pin package.

It is the most frequently recorded foreign chip in Geran flight controllers: HUR War & Sanctions lists it in all four Geran versions, usually in the flight controller unit and its satellite-navigation board, and in the Geran-5 a second one in the power distribution unit. The markings show the same chip under several readings (TMS320 F28335PGFA split over two lines, or misread as IMS320), all collected here.
