SADRA inertial navigation system

Also recorded as SADRA and SADRA MIN 800

The inertial navigation unit found in Geran-2, Geran-3 and Geran-4 drones: it keeps the drone on course from its own motion sensors when satellite signals are jammed. HUR files early units as Iranian-made and later ones as Russian.

SADRA is the inertial navigation unit of the Geran line: accelerometers and gyroscopes that track the drone’s own motion, so it can hold its course when satellite signals are jammed. HUR War & Sanctions describes it as a “platform-free” (strapdown) system and has recorded it in Geran-2, Geran-3 and Geran-4 drones.

HUR filed a June 2025 unit as Iranian and a January 2026 unit, marked SADRA MIN 800, as Russian. Since autumn 2026 the Geran-4 pairs it with the DISMAG compass module, which HUR says reduces its gyroscope drift. The Geran-5’s MINSOO V3 is, in HUR’s words, “probably” of the SADRA type.
