“Borscht” is HUR’s name for the telemetry tracker in Geran drones: a Raspberry Pi single-board computer with 3G/LTE modems that reports the drone’s position over mobile networks. HUR War & Sanctions has recorded the third version in the Geran-2, Geran-4 and Geran-5.

Its photos show the Raspberry Pi, two USB modems with their SIM slots and a hand-wired interface board. Radio Svoboda’s Schemes found SIM cards from Ukrainian, Russian, Kazakh, Belarusian and EU carriers in the modem slots of recovered Gerans.
