US tests RD-SUADS mobile counter-drone system with Echodyne radar and DroneBuster EW

Published

US Army trials of the RD-SUADS (Rapid Deployment – Soldier Unmanned Aerial Defense System), developed by Trust Automation, demonstrated detection and tracking of aerial targets at 2–6 km, extending to around 7 km in favourable conditions. The modular system combines Echodyne EchoShield radars with NINJA and DroneBuster electronic-attack payloads on a standard 463L air cargo pallet, making it C-130 and C-17 transportable. An onboard diesel generator provides up to four days of autonomous operation without external power.
