US FLM-136 LUCAS loitering munition recovered near Bandar Abbas, Iran

Published 22 July 2026

A Russian military channel reports that an American loitering munition identified as the FLM-136 LUCAS was found near the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, adding a named US kamikaze-drone system to the documented inventory of precision munitions employed in the US-Iran confrontation. The source labels it sarcastically as an ‘American Geran-2’, reflecting the convergence of operationally similar loitering-munition concepts across multiple conflict theatres.
