Ukrainian OSINT review: Russia leads FPV via fiber-optic immunity; ISR near parity

Published

A Ukrainian channel’s OSINT assessment of the current drone war concludes Russia holds a slight tactical edge in FPV operations, driven by high deployment density and widespread adoption of fiber-optic-guided variants that are immune to conventional electronic warfare. Reconnaissance UAVs are judged at near parity on both sides. Ukraine is assessed to lead in long-range strike drones and in anti-drone countermeasures and counter-EW; Russia leads in loitering munitions such as Geran and Lancet and in broadband jamming.
