Ukrainian operation targets Upyr drone CEO Tkachuk in Yekaterinburg car bombing

Published

Vladimir Tkachuk, founder and CEO of UralDronZavod — the Yekaterinburg manufacturer of the Upyr FPV combat drone and administrator of the UAVDEV Telegram channel — was critically injured when a car bomb detonated near his vehicle on 5 August. His bodyguard was killed; Tkachuk was hospitalised in intensive care in stable condition, and investigators opened a murder-attempt case. Multiple Russian military-industrial channels confirmed the attack; Tkachuk’s own UAVDEV platform and a separate Russian engineer channel stated that production would continue without interruption.
