Ukrainian Neptune-D cruise missiles strike Marinovka airbase at over 600 km; two Su-34s destroyed

Published

Ukraine’s Naval Forces struck Russia’s Marinovka airbase in Volgograd region with Neptune-D coastal cruise missiles, with the launch position reportedly more than 600 km from the target — the longest confirmed land-attack use of the system. The Ukrainian Navy states two Su-34 fighter-bombers of the 4th Air Army’s 11th Mixed Aviation Regiment were destroyed on open parking. Satellite imagery shows two burn-damage areas and scattered debris on the aircraft dispersal. This was the fourth Ukrainian strike on Russian airbases in October and the third assessed as successful; three of the four targeted Russian aircraft in the open rather than in hardened shelters.
