Video circulating in both Russian and Ukrainian channels documents another Ukrainian Air Force F-16 engaging a Geran-2 loitering munition at short range with its 20mm M61A1 Vulcan rotary cannon. The accumulation of multiple such clips from different engagements confirms the gun-intercept method as a recurring operational tactic rather than a one-off, and illustrates how the F-16’s legacy cannon is being pressed into a counter-drone air-defence role alongside Patriot and MANPADS.
