Ukrainian An-196 'Lyuty' UAV armed with four Katran stand-off missiles

Published

A Russian engineering channel, citing the system’s Farnborough 2026 appearance, reports the Ukrainian An-196 ‘Lyuty’ long-range UAV can carry up to four ‘Katran’ stand-off missiles: range approximately 200 km, speed up to 500 km/h, warhead up to 20 kg. Total payload is 150 kg, enabling mixed loads — two missiles plus a kamikaze warhead for a combined strike-and-loiter sortie, or a four-round salvo with the airframe returning to base. Katran rounds can also serve as radar decoys, giving each Lyuty sortie a dual lethal-and-EW-suppression role.
