Ukraine targets radar network near Yeysk airfield to degrade Russian air-surveillance coverage

Published 24 August 2026

Ukrainian guided strike drones have attacked radar installations near Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai, following earlier strikes on aircraft at the same airfield, according to Russian military observers. The progression — first aircraft, now the sensors that protect the airspace around them — is assessed as a deliberate campaign to blind Russian air-defence coverage in the southern direction rather than a series of unconnected opportunistic strikes.
