Ukraine drops 'butterfly' anti-personnel sub-munitions from drones; ~100 found after night raid

Published

Russian milblogger Two Majors reported that Ukrainian forces have begun dispersing PFM-type ‘butterfly’ (petal) anti-personnel sub-munitions via drone, with approximately 100 devices recovered on the ground after a single night operation. The channel issued warnings to civilians and soldiers not to handle found objects. If confirmed, the tactic extends Ukrainian drone payload use from direct-attack munitions to area-denial sub-munition dispersal.
