Ukraine reprioritises interceptor UAV programme toward jet Geran as monthly volume reaches ~3,000

Published · updated

Russian analyst channel Rybar reports that Ukraine has shifted interceptor drone development priorities away from single-use ‘drone-rocket’ designs targeting standard propeller-driven Geran variants toward platforms capable of catching jet-propelled Geran-4s, which current Ukrainian air defences are described as unable to engage. The reprioritisation follows what Rybar characterises as a sustained ‘Attack August’ in Kyiv, in which jet Geran sorties reportedly scaled to as many as 3,000 per month.
