UK Greenjets Kestrel impeller interceptor targets Geran/Shahed; 30 km range disputed

Published

British company Greenjets has developed a Kestrel drone interceptor using impeller propulsion, designed to intercept Geran and Shahed-type loitering munitions at a claimed speed of 500–600 km/h with a 30 km engagement range. Russian UAV engineering commentary challenged the 30 km range figure, arguing that impeller energy efficiency makes sustained endurance at that distance implausible — a concern relevant to any operator evaluating the system for operational deployment.
