UK fields Nyan kamikaze drones in Estonia with 250+ km precision strike range

Published 13 October 2026

Russian milblog Rybar reports that British forces in Estonia have formally fielded the Nyan loitering munition, described as having a range exceeding 250 km and designed for precision deep-strike. UK officials frame the deployment as a contribution to NATO deterrence; British press reporting characterised the same capability in terms of potential strikes on St. Petersburg, illustrating a dual public messaging approach. The number of systems deployed is withheld on operational security grounds.
