UH-60M Black Hawk tested as airborne drone carrier and command post for ALTIUS-700

The US Army has validated UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters as drone launch platforms and airborne command posts under the Air-Launched Effects programme, using Anduril ALTIUS-700 in two variants: reconnaissance (460 km range) and strike (160 km range). The same programme earlier upgraded AH-64E Apaches with ALTIUS-600 loitering munitions (440 km) and Barracuda-100M (100 km), alongside APKWS anti-drone rocket pods and 30 mm air-burst ammunition. Both platforms are now configurable as drone motherships with standoff reach far beyond their organic sensor footprint.
