Turkish ANKA MALE drone observed carrying ŞİMŞEK-K loitering munition on wing hardpoints

Published

Turkish defence reporting cited by monitoring channels documents the ANKA medium-altitude long-endurance UAV configured with ŞİMŞEK-K loitering munitions on underwing pylons. ŞİMŞEK-K is a derivative of a high-speed aerial target repurposed as a kamikaze weapon, with an 83 kg maximum take-off weight and an 18 kg warhead. The integration adds a precision deep-strike loitering munition capability to the existing ANKA reconnaissance-strike platform.
