Swift Beat Hornet-2 completes trials; Qualcomm chip runs PRISMA AI targeting

Published

Testing of the Hornet-2 high-speed fixed-wing attack drone has concluded, according to UAV Development channel analysis. The system — built by Swift Beat LLC and linked in Russian reporting to former Google CEO Eric Schmidt — carries a Qualcomm mobile-processor compute module running the PRISMA machine-vision suite, which handles object detection, target tracking, and lock-on assistance. Russian observers note the first Hornet appeared over Donetsk in March 2026 and argue that the on-board AI hardware, rather than raw flight performance, constitutes the system’s primary strategic significance.
