Stryi Robotics NavShield module blocks GNSS spoofing on ArduPilot 4.6.0+ drones

Published

Ukrainian firm Stryi Robotics has released NavShield, a hardware-software add-on that monitors GNSS receiver output in real time, detects anomalous coordinate injections characteristic of spoofing attacks, and prevents poisoned fixes from reaching the ArduPilot navigation stack. It connects via any spare UART port without airframe modifications and is compatible with ArduPilot 4.6.0+ and any existing receiver. Detection, blocking, and INS-fallback recovery are fully automatic; a Mission Planner plugin exposes raw pre-block coordinates on a map and allows manual position injection (‘Drone is here’) to restore navigation if needed.
