Russian R-531B 'Infauna' EW system deployed in Mali with African Corps

Photographs confirm Russia’s R-531B ‘Infauna’ wheeled electronic warfare complex is now operating in Mali as part of the Russian African Corps. The vehicle provides VHF intercept and jamming — including against frequency-hopping radios — protects vehicle convoys from remote-controlled IEDs, and can deploy aerosol screens. Its appearance in the Sahel marks a live operational deployment of Russian tactical EW doctrine outside Ukraine.
