Russian 'Kuryer' ground robot fitted with Shmel-4: four flamethrowers and Kornet ATGM

Published 26 July 2026

At a military technology exhibition near Moscow attended by Deputy Defence Minister Evkurov, soldiers from the 20th Army (Western grouping) demonstrated a ‘Kuryer’ unmanned ground vehicle fitted with a removable ‘Shmel-4’ combat module. The module simultaneously carries four thermobaric flamethrowers and a Kornet anti-tank guided missile, all controlled remotely by a single operator. The modular, swappable design allows the same UGV chassis to carry different weapon payloads.
