Russian ground-based laser anti-drone system goes public; reportedly destroyed hundreds of UAVs

Published

Footage of a Russian ground-based laser anti-drone installation has appeared publicly, according to a Russian military engineering channel that had previously alluded to the system’s existence. The analyst states that the number of Ukrainian UAVs downed by the system has grown to ‘several hundred’ and that the number of deployed units has increased. The analyst expresses concern that public disclosure of the system’s physical appearance now allows Ukrainian OSINT teams to identify and locate units through open-source imagery, removing a prior intelligence advantage.
