Russian FPV drone destroys Ukrainian Sky Sentinel anti-drone turret on Kharkiv ring road

Published 13 October 2026

A Russian FPV drone strike destroyed a Ukrainian Sky Sentinel autonomous turret positioned on the Kharkiv ring road north of the Industrialnyi district, according to Rybar. Ukraine deploys the Sky Sentinel to intercept slow-flying Geran drones and cruise missiles; the strike demonstrates that adversary forces are actively targeting fixed counter-drone infrastructure rather than simply routing around it, and that autonomous turrets at known positions are vulnerable to directed FPV attack.
