Russian forces field handheld net-launchers for personal anti-FPV defence

A Russian military-engineer channel compared two anti-drone net concepts: a grenade-launcher-fired net round that detonates at variable range to entangle rotors — assessed as promising in reach but expensive per shot and requiring unresolved fuzing and detection integration — and compact handheld net-gun devices already in frontline use. The practical net-guns are endorsed specifically as personal protection against small FPV drones dropped from carrier UAVs targeting vehicles and small positions.
