Russian channel crowd-sources Geran impact footage from Ukrainian residents to refine targeting

Published

A prominent Russian milblogger channel is openly soliciting footage of Geran drone strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure recorded since 1 August, explicitly to improve Geran accuracy and reduce the effectiveness of Ukrainian air defence. A separate channel offers up to $5,000 for usable footage submitted anonymously via a dedicated Telegram bot. The open recruitment of civilian observers as a targeting-feedback loop represents a documented effort to refine long-range drone strike accuracy through open-source damage assessment.
