Russian Buyan-M corvette fitted with anti-drone cage screens in Kaliningrad

Imagery from Kaliningrad shows the Buyan-M missile corvette Serpukhov (Project 21631) now sporting anti-drone cage screens over its superstructure and along the hull sides — the naval equivalent of the ’tsar-mangal’ passive protection now standard on Russian armoured vehicles. Sandbags have also been stacked around the AK-630M-2 Duet close-in weapon mount. Russian military observers interpret this as a signal that similar hardening will spread across the surface fleet as USV and aerial-drone threats to naval assets intensify.
