Russia tests 'Yastreb-S' broadband EW system designed to defeat Starlink-linked UAVs

Russia has begun testing ‘Yastreb-S’, combining a Yastreb 1.0 EW complex developed by a TSBT-resident NPP company together with the Foundation for Advanced Research (FPI) and a frequency-shift module. The system targets Starlink-equipped Ukrainian UAVs and claims frequency coverage from 100 MHz to 15 GHz, spanning nearly the full range used by Ukrainian drones. Rybar separately assesses Starlink as the single indispensable link in Ukrainian drone operations at scale. The developer acknowledges limited range prevents a continuous jamming dome.
