Russia's October 7 strike hits Tripolye plant, Kremenchug HPP and Flamingo production

Published

Russia launched one of its largest recent combined missile-and-drone strikes on 7 October, with Russian sources reporting 10 Tu-95MS strategic bombers aloft. Confirmed or claimed hits include the Tripolye thermal power plant in Kyiv oblast, the Kremenchug HPP at Svitlovodsk, and — according to Rybar — facilities producing and storing Ukraine’s Flamingo ballistic missiles. Cascading grid failures left the right bank of Kyiv in blackout; a single strike sequence in the Pryluky area simultaneously cut electricity to 61,000 customers and gas to 18,000.
