Russia conducts at least 87 drone and missile strikes on Ukrainian fuel infrastructure in August

Rybar’s tally for August 2026 records at least 87 strikes against petrol stations and oil refineries across Ukraine, with more than half concentrated in the border oblasts of Sumy and Kharkiv where fuel must flow to sustain forward Ukrainian forces. Attacks also extended to Mykolaiv and Odessa oblasts. The campaign employs Geran and Gerber drones alongside precision missiles, targeting fuel logistics specifically rather than the drone-component supply nodes that have been separately struck.
