ZAK-57-MSK and Tsitadel counter-drone guns shown on truck chassis for the first time

Published · updated

Footage from a Southern Military District weapons demonstration reviewed by Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev shows the ZAK-30 Tsitadel and ZAK-57-MSK counter-UAS gun systems mounted on Ural-4320 truck chassis — the first reported appearance of these systems on wheeled rather than tracked platforms. The event also featured an unnamed drone-interceptor carrier variant and the 2S44 Gyacint-K self-propelled howitzer firing active-reactive rounds. The truck-mounted variants indicate a push to make these networked counter-drone systems more strategically mobile.
