The AfD leak: research findings

Dated editions of our research into Russian ties in the leaked archive of the German AfD party: who invited whom, who paid for what, each claim traced to a file in the archive.

In October 2026 a hacker group published 421,180 emails and 48,572 documents from eleven mailboxes of the German party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD). We are reading the archive for ties to the Russian state: the Duma, the embassy, state media and occupied Crimea.

The research is published in dated editions. Each edition stays online unchanged, so what we knew on that day remains on record. A later edition adds, corrects or withdraws findings and says so. Every claim names the file in the archive it rests on, and what the press had already reported.
