Oshkosh Defense partners Grid Aero to mass-produce Lifter heavy-lift UAV

Oshkosh Defense has signed a manufacturing partnership with drone developer Grid Aero to scale production of the Lifter, a multi-role UAV designed to carry several thousand pounds over several thousand miles for logistics, ISR and collection tasks. The partnership covers airframe adaptation for serial manufacture, production process planning and supply chain build-out, with a pilot line expected roughly one year out; Grid Aero has stated a long-term target of hundreds to thousands of units.
