New factory-fitted anti-drone enclosure on BTR-82A shown at CSTO Unbreakable Brotherhood 2026

A BTR-82A carrying a new factory-style anti-drone protection structure appeared at the CSTO ‘Unbreakable Brotherhood 2026’ exercises in Belarus. Unlike improvised field cages, the installation appears to cover or replace the standard internal infantry compartment, with troops riding externally or under a rear-mounted shelter. Appearance at a multinational CSTO exercise suggests the design may be advancing toward series adoption in Russian and allied forces.
