MILELRS FPV link AUTO_TUNE mechanism reverse-engineered: adaptive 2.1–2.7 GHz hopping

Published

Technical reverse-engineering of the MILELRS datalink protocol used in frontline FPV drones reveals its AUTO_TUNE frequency-management mechanism. The receiver divides the 2,100–2,700 MHz band into 24 intervals of 25 MHz each and accumulates packet-loss statistics per interval; when the success rate in an active hop interval falls below 80%, AUTO_TUNE shifts the primary frequency-hopping sequence away from the congested band. The operational hop band is typically configured much narrower (e.g., 2,200–2,240 MHz) while AUTO_TUNE monitors the full span, enabling automatic jamming avoidance without operator intervention.
