MESA autonomous UGV with HAL10 launcher deploys ten VESPID Mk 1 AI-guided interceptors

Published

Shown at the Association of the US Army exhibition, the MESA system pairs a Polaris Ranger XD 1500 unmanned ground vehicle (900 kg payload) with a HAL10 launcher storing ten VESPID Mk 1 interceptor drones. VESPID Mk 1 is claimed to engage aerial targets beyond 10 km kinetically at 540 km/h using an AI guidance system and infrared seeker. Multiple MESA vehicles are managed remotely through the NEXUS command-and-control network, integrating VANQUISH PRIME radar and other sensors into a unified picture; the system is described as operating mostly autonomously with operators primarily issuing movement commands.
