IRGC-captured Tiguar M reconnaissance UAV carries field-mounted Starlink/Starshield terminal

Published

The IRGC released imagery of a recovered Polish Tiguar M military reconnaissance UAV it claims was operated by US forces and downed over Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province by the 48th Fatah Brigade. The airframe shows what a Ukrainian analysis channel identifies as a Starlink or Starshield satellite terminal in an improvised fuselage-mounted configuration, indicating the platform was adapted for satellite-based beyond-line-of-sight communications rather than conventional RF control. US Army Green Berets from 1st Special Forces Group had previously evaluated Tiguar M platforms at Balikatan 2026 in the Philippines, specifically assessing link resilience and communications range.
