Iranian '358' loitering anti-aircraft missile downs US MQ-9 Reaper over Strait of Hormuz

Published 4 November 2026

Footage confirmed by multiple channels shows an Iranian 358 or 359 loitering anti-aircraft missile intercepting a US Air Force MQ-9 Reaper over the Strait of Hormuz. The event coincides with reports of explosions on Kish Island, active Iranian air defences and increased US tanker-aircraft and UAV reconnaissance activity over the Persian Gulf, suggesting ongoing probing of Iranian defences ahead of an anticipated strike exchange.
