Houthis reportedly used AI-generated deepfake of commander to trigger Saudi proxy retreat

A Russian weekly analysis by the barantchik channel reported that Houthi forces broke through Saudi-backed lines and seized the Bab al-Mandab coastline, with some analysts attributing the collapse to a deepfake video purportedly showing the Saudi proxy commander ordering an abandonment of positions. The claim is single-sourced, unverified, and originates from a Russian analytical channel; it cannot be corroborated from the available signals. If accurate, it would mark an early documented case of AI-generated video used to manufacture a false command order in combat.
