Germany tests Boxer armoured vehicle with GA 1000 sub-10 kW laser counter-drone system

KNDS Deutschland and Ground A have conducted trials of a Boxer infantry fighting vehicle fitted with the GA 1000 directed-energy system, rated below 10 kW, for detection, tracking and hard-kill engagement of small drones. The test represents a step in European development of vehicle-mounted laser counter-UAS capability, though a successful test does not constitute adoption into service.
