Germany's INLEAP FASTLIGHT HELD laser counter-drone UGV enters serial production

Published

INLEAP Photonics has opened a new Hannover facility for serial production of its FASTLIGHT HELD system: a laser weapon mounted on a remotely-controlled tracked platform with radar at the front and optical sensors on all four sides. According to the company, lithium-ion batteries provide enough energy to engage 250 drones and cover 40 km, and the platform is small enough to transport in a pickup truck bed. The targeting software identifies vulnerable points on a drone and holds the beam there during its flight, claiming neutralisation within seconds. First production units are being delivered to partner STARK, with broader scaling beginning in November 2026.
