German company Sphere Defense has presented LORIN-1, a jet-powered counter-drone interceptor aimed at Shahed-class targets. Claimed specifications include cruise speed above 600 km/h, 30 km range, vertical take-off, an AI-guided optical seeker and an 800-gram fragmentation warhead, with a re-attack capability if the first pass fails. As of October 2026 LORIN-1 remains in development; full intercept-system testing and a first small-batch production run are planned for a future phase.
