Multiple Russian channels report that Geran drone strikes on the Nivki 330 kV substation in Kyiv on 8 October caused a citywide power outage, halting the metro and all electric surface transport and cutting power to the Verkhovna Rada. A separate strike on the Kyivska 750/330/35 kV substation is also reported in the same window, suggesting a coordinated dual-node attack on the capital’s grid.
