Russian military analysis, citing Ukrainian field recoveries, confirms that Geran strike drones carry Mesh/MANET distributed radio hardware providing long-range command-and-control links without satellite internet. The same analysis — produced in the context of SpaceX cutting grey-market Russian Starlink access in February 2026 — also lists traditional digital radio channels and aerial/ground relay chains as active fallbacks for long-range drone guidance.
