Russian Geran-5 drones struck the Lutsk-Severnaya 330 kV substation in Volyn Oblast, cutting electricity and disrupting water supply across much of Lutsk, according to both Russian milblogger and Ukrainian monitoring accounts. The ‘Geran-5’ designation is distinct from the Geran-2 and Geran-4 variants documented in recent signals, suggesting a further production iteration is now in operational use. The strike continues Russia’s systematic campaign targeting Ukrainian energy and logistics infrastructure with successive Geran variants.
