French Naval Group SCX 26 concept: 100 kW laser, railgun and integral drone hangar

Naval Group presented the SCX 26 warship concept at Euronaval 2026 — a 170 m hull of up to 10,000 tonnes armed with 100-plus vertical launch cells, a 100 kW laser, an electromagnetic railgun and two Rampart close-in weapon modules. Roughly one-third of the hull is allocated to a maintenance hangar for air, surface and submarine drones, with on-board 3D printing of drone components under consideration for extended autonomous operations.
